New York Girl | Las Vegas Photographer

Finally getting around to editing more photos from New York. After a day of shopping and a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, I could not control myself – I just had to photograph my lovely daughter at our favorite park in New York.

One of the paintings we saw at the museum was seriously haunting me- to see an original painting up close – to see how it jumps off the canvas – is a unique experience. This painting is entitled “Faustine Leo”, by french painter, Henri Lehmann, 1842. It’s such a soft, feminine pose, I had to try it.

Check out the Metropolitan Museum’s database for more posing ideas. Don’t bother purchasing those “posing guides” you’ve seen all over the place. Study from the master painters who spent years studying posing, color and lighting. All for free!
